“#1 Draft Pick”

I’ve let it be known that I am a DIE HARD Colts fan. It has been a horrible season to be a fan of the horseshoe. From the moment that Peyton announced he would be out the season, I was still optimistic. I mean, Collins lead the Titans to a 13-3 record not even 2/3 seasons ago. On top of that we have 5/6 future Hall Of Famers as far as I’m concerned. (R. Wayne, D. Clark, D. Freeney, P. Manning, R. Mathis, & J. Saturday) I told several friends that we would win 9-11 games still. As the season started though, things quickly got ugly. Collins went out with an injury, Painter played good a few times but could not pull out the W’s. So as 0-3 turned to 0-6 to 0-13, I started to look to the future. Peyton will be back in 2012 & we’ll get the #1 pick. Then week 15 rolled around & we were playing the Titans. I hadn’t watched a Colts game since Atlanta drubbed us, but I still got text updates. I woke up late that day, after partying the night before & saw that we were up 20-7! WTF?! We’re about to win! It was weird being excited over one W, but I was. Then came another W in week 16 after beating that Texans on a last second TD after a few penalties. At this point, I’m confused as hell like why weren’t we doing this the whole season! Now we were projected to beat Jacksonville in the last game of the season. Doing so would have played us out of the #1 pick. This may be fxcked up to say, but I am pleased to announce that we have lost to the Jaguars & locked in the #1 pick. While I think that Luck may be a bust, I think we should trade the pick to someone else in the Top 5/10 for some more picks, & then get RG3. Let him sit behind Peyton for a few years & then take over when the greatest retires. That’s just my feeling. Either way, I am glad this season is over! I can now turn my full attention to my UofL Cards who are 13-2 & ranked #4 in the country, & my Indiana Pacers are 3-1 & I believe they will finish anywhere from 4-6 in the East & make some noise in the playoffs. Only time will tell.
