I just got this in my inbox a short while ago from the homie SNO. It’s him and a couple homies going in over Wiz Khalifa & Juicy J’s Errday off Cabin Fever. I’ve always been a fan of the track that was produced by Lex Lugar. Here’s an excerpt from the message.
“What’s up. A couple of weeks ago, while a friend was in town, we got in the studio and wrote to a few industry beats. While there have been quite a few great instrumentals to come out over the past year, we wanted to do something with a Southern sound to it. Who else has represented the South more than Lex Lugar as of late? With that being said, we all were fans of Wiz Khalifa’s “Cabin Fever” mixtape. So, we decided to go in on his and Juicy J’s track “Errday”. While I don’t really like to release music that isn’t original, I do want to keep hitting fans with quality music to enjoy. Even though I am hard at work on the next installment of the trilogy, produced by GameOva and due out around Halloween, I will continue to release one off’s between projects. I try to give quantity and quality, without over saturating.”
So, I guess we can look forward to more music to come from SNO. in between the projects that he’s dropping. All I can say is I’m a big fan of dude. He takes his craft seriously, and has consistently been releasing music over the last year. I look forward to more material from him, and the cats he fxcks with. “Thank You Dan Harmon”
I let it be known yesterday that Community is my favorite comedy, if not favorite show since The Wire. The originality that Dan Harmon and the writers bring to every episode while getting their message across is amazing. The way they are able to blend internet and TV has never been done before. That is why I sit here disgusted that NBC has fired Dan Harmon, yet renewed the show. As much as I am excited about the renewal, I’m not sure that it will EVER be the same show that I fell in love with again. I plead to NBC to bring back Dan Harmon. The Dream Team, was NOT the Dream Team, without Chuck Daly making all those superstars work well together as a team. Why NBC? Why …. I will continue to watch the show, even though they are moving it to Fridays and they’ve canned the creator. If it is NOT the show I fell in love with, I will quickly stop watching. If you plan to start watching the show because of this post, please go back & watch the older episodes first. Don’t wait for next season to start, because it may not be the same show I’m speaking of. Thanks Dan Harmon for your Genius.

I am just now getting around to watching last weeks Community lightweight marathon they had to close out the season. I’m only on the first episode, but Dan Harmon and the rest of the cast and crew have really outdid themselves. The episode “Digital Estate Planning” is truly genius and there has never been anything like it on TV. The premise is Pierce (played by Chevy Chase) has been summoned by his dead fathers right hand man to play a video game that his father spent 30 years creating. He was told to bring friends, so of course he brings the rest of the gang. What they don’t find out til after they sit down to play is, whoever survives the game, they will get Pierce’s inheritance. They do an amazing job of turning all the characters into this Nintendo inspired game. It’s half Megaman and half Mario Bros. 2. Either way this is why Community is my favorite comedic television show …. PERIOD.

I woke up to this waiting in my inbox. SNO. told me he was hitting the studio last night, but I didn’t expect this. It’s like he was in my brain. I’ve made it known that I’m a Pacers & Colts fan, so this is right down my alley. He shows love to EVERYBODY on the squad love, from start to bench. It’s perfect for the time of year that we are in. He said “he was inspired after the Pacers spanked the Heat in Game 3, & he sat & wrote this to Wiz’s Taylor Gang.” Afterwards hitting his boy GamOva for an original beat. This is the outcome. #BeatTheHeat

“RIP MCA”
Adam “MCA” Yauch passed away today. If you are a fan of Hip Hop, then this should hit you deeply. It was announced awhile back that MCA was having issues with cancer. I’m not sure if this is the reason for his passing, but either was it is a shame. We have lost several musical geniuses over the past few years. It just shows that the only thing guaranteed is that you will eventually pass, so live life to the fullest.

“The Avengers”
I was one of the many that went to the midnight showing of The Avengers last night. I am a huge fan of midnight showings, that is when the true fans come out in every costume imaginable. Like many I have been looking forward to this movie since I first got wind of it. It is the first movie of it’s kind, involving several super-heroes in the same film working together. Then when I found out Joss Whedon was directing it, I got that much more excited. For those not familiar with Whedon, he is the creator of cult classic shows like Buffy, Angel, & DollHouse to name a few. The cast was great. Everybody reprises their previous roles, except for Ed Norton who played the Hulk in the last film. This time around it is Mark Ruffalo who takes on the part. I was very skeptical about this, but he did a great job. It was cool too, because this time around they added the actors features into the Hulk, which made it a little more believable. The story of the film is fairly strong. Although there is a sequence around an 1:45 minutes into the movie, that I started to get spooked. I thought it was coming to an end, & if that was the case, they were going to fail the movie. They didn’t. What proceeded was an amazing battle scene, that if it happened in the real world, the city of NYC would never be the same again. It was such a good film, that afterward I was pumped to the max. I didn’t get to bed til the early hours of the morning. I just kept replaying the movie in my head. If you haven’t or weren’t planning to see it, you are missing out big time. I’m not gonna say it’s the best comic book movie of the summer, but Dark Knight Rising is gonna have to come hard! We’ll see on July 7th. Unlike the Dark Knight, it is evident that there will be another Avengers movie. I expect it in the summer of 2014. We’ll see.
